Congratulations Sam!

My girl...you know...my "little" girl...who is not so little anymore graduated from Elementary School today. I'm so proud of her! Off to middle school next year. Thank god there is still a couple months of summer before I officially have a child that's in junior high.

Do you like her paper lei that I made. Of course my mom had gave the real flowers and I HAD to do something with paper! Sam later told me that it wasn't nice to use the occasion for free advertising. LOL! I love her humor, her little (with no attitude, just dry sarcasm) she cracks me up!

She took a lot of pics with all her friends. Here's one with her good friend Julia Chau:
They have been great friends since the 1st grade. Now they will be going on to the same middle school and hopefully High School. She's got such a great group of friends that she met at Los Cerritos. I don't think it's hitting her yet. But she'll miss it there. All she's thinking of is the last day of school. She goes back for a half day tomorrow...just to pick up yearbooks and have a 5th grade picnic! I think that it will definitely hit her tomorrow.
Tomorrow will come and go. It seems like just yesterday she was in 1st grade!
And now she's become such a young lady! Sammie...we love you and are so very proud of you!

So much in one week!

So in this last week, after we celebrated our anniversary, we took Alexa to Sam's school Carnival......Alexa enjoyed running around... I obviously look pooped and was really irritated that it took 9 tickets ($5) for a hotdog...
We then got a surprise visit from my in-laws from Arizona, which means we have to eat at our favorite Chinese Restaurant (LV Seafood)...
Right after we went to my friend Fran's house for a birthday party and enjoyed the many desserts she had lined up for us. Including this yummy fruit tart. Alexa kept pulling off the fruit and eating them, and we had to keep replacing them! hahahaha...
A few days later we went to Sam's musical play. She had a solo part singing. Doesn't she look good on stage?
Then the following day we watched my cousin walk at his high school graduation.

It was freakin' crowded. Didn't even get to sit. Yes..those little white spots are people!
Whew...I need a little more R&R after all of that! :)

Happy Anniversary to my hubby!

I've been a happily married woman for three years to my man Paul. Got to spend the whole day with him today, from breakfast at Johnny Reb's to Universal Studios the only theme park near us that we can drink beer and ride a tram! Followed it up with a movie...Iron Man! It was a great day...and a wonderful three years.

Pee Pee in the Potty!

Alexa celebrated her 22nd month birthday by peeing in the toilet! I never potty trained Samantha, so this was very exciting for me! She loves using the toilet! It's hilarious! It happened when I was in a meeting with a bride. Thank god Paul videotaped it:
Sorry in advance for the neck crank...

(tear)

Sam's back home from camp! As you can see I was eager to get her stuff in the car!

I missed my girl so much this past week. But before we picked her up from school I checked the mail, and...I GOT A LETTER FROM SAM! I figured that I'd probably get it when she was already back...so getting it right before we left to pick her up was a treat!

It's so funny how she writes! She really had a good time. I asked her later why she didn't write to me everyday and why she failed to mention that she missed us. She didn't answer me of course. I have a teenager in the making growing in our house.

April Showers

Goodbye March!
And still no sign of my camera charger...booo!!!
We spent most of the month busy bee-ing around with work. Hardly anytime for the kids and the family (we suck)! But we did get a little time to celebrate Paul's bday at the end of the month. His birthday fell on a Monday and on Mondays Kids eat free at the Roadhouse in the Long Beach town center! Whoo-hoo! Of course we got them to sing the happy birthday song and made a fool of him...it was a nice night out with the girls. Alexa had her first time in the booster chair instead of a high chair. Big girl now huh?
Sam's science report took over our kitchen last week..
And of course, Alexa was all over that... (check out the chompers on this girl)

And what Alexa looks like when dad gives her a bath:
Alexa is 20 months old now...Sam is leaving for week-day school camp for a whole week next week...:(
Paul and I are exhausted and are in need of adult beverages often.
