Perfectly good excuse for no bloggin'

I lost (still hoping its really misplaced) my camera charger. I'm bummed. So many cute things during easter that I could've shot and blogged about!
Meanwhile, my work is on overload. It's toward the end of the summer wedding season...so it's been crazy. My brother was here for spring break so that was a nice treat! Celebrated Paul's bday last Thursday, but his real bday is tomorrow! I'm gonna have to borrow Sam's camera for some birthday shots!

Goodbye Sweet, Hello Sassy!

I'm in the middle of a crisis. Today I filled out the papers for Sam's Jr. High. She has less than 4 months to go, then summer and hello Jr. High (and cell phones, and eye rolling, and comebacks that I can't rebuttal back to).

Sam has had the same friends since Kindergarten/1st Grade. I hope she stays friends with them. She's been pretty lucky with her friends. They're all smart, motivated, extra curriculum, honor students. It's always good to have your core friends that influence you well. You need them before you go to Jr. High. You know what happens in Jr. High right? All the sassy mean girls come out and are just harsh, backstabbing, two-faced girls striving for popularity and attention. Who knows...I might have had a bad experience, times might have changed. But one things for sure...I'm going to miss her youth. We were walking through the halls of her Jr.High for a school preview and the girls were already full of makeup, wearing 3" heels or booty shorts, dragging their juicy couture pompom backpacks around, talking about, "...call me tonight, but I might be on the phone, so yeah...text me..." WTF!

Somebody remind me to chill with her every now and then. I'm on Sam's back everyday. "Is your homework done? Did you double-check your work? Read for 45 minutes everyday! Clean your room! Help me watch your sister! Why don't you take initiative? Why do I always have to ask you to do something, why can't you just do it without me asking? Cook rice!" Gosh...I've seriously turned into my mother! I need to stop because I know that one day, she'll be going away and I'm going to wonder how that happened...just as I'm doing now, or worse...she'll rebel!!!!!!! Nay...I don't think so. My Sam will be the little Sassy girl at school and the sweet baby girl at home (I'll be in denial for now.)

Kiss me! I'm 19 months!

Puckering up to kissy sounds. Love those lips!
Today, (more like yesterday because I'm writing this at 1:20am) Alexa turned 19 months! Gosh, the time seems to fly by the older she gets. This her right before we get her in the car for daycare. Check out how much I can put in a big ole ponytail!
And this look. I want to just pinch off those cheeks and eat'em!
