Halloween 2008

We spent Halloween Trick-o-Treating with our friends and all our kids.
Our wonderful friends, Audrey and Miguel, hosted the party and did a fabulous job with the photo op. in the entrance of their house that everyone took advantage of! The kids had a ball, especially Alexa. Alexa got a lot of attention with her peacock outfit and Sam was little red riding hood or how she says it, "Little Red riding from the Hood". I was so out of it this year. Paul and I didn't pick our outfits until 30 minutes before the party! I went as Gina Carano, female MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter who specializes in Muay Thai. NOBODY knew who I was except one person (Tony Manalaysay). Everyone else thought that I went as a boxer!Oh well...if you knew who she was, you'd be impressed! She kicks major ass. I love tough chicks like her. Believe it or not, that's all of my gear, except for the shorts...those are Pauls :) Best part about my costume was that it requires that I wear flip flops! Everyone else that had to where heels for their costumes were dying by the end of the night. Paul went as a Juijitsu fighter. I went through all our halloween costumes, but I was tired of wearing all the old stuff. I'm going to have to work on my next year's costume. Some theme that the whole family has to follow. There was a lot of that this year. A whole family of Incredibles and fairytale characters...I'm gonna have to think of something good next year.

Every husband's nightmare

...is a wife bringing home a crap load of paper, stickers, stamps and more!!! My awesome cousin Jamie is a celebrity scrapbooker. I love her so. She had promised her husband that she'd clean out some of her stuff and OF COURSE I was happy to help her out and take some of it off her hand. lol
I was proud of myself when I let Alexa take some of the stuff to make a page on her own. She had so much fun putting it all together and made me 3 pages! (Thanks Jame for all the stuff!) I'm so proud of my cousin and I. We haven't been the greatest at taken time aside to spend with each other and our kids. But we've seen each other twice in 2 weeks!
Alexa had her first play date with Elsie 2 weeks ago. The girls took a little time to warm up to each other but once it was time to go, they didn't want to leave. The last time they came by Alexa was just a little baby. I can't believe how much they've grown (<---why must I say that in EVERY blog entry). And check out the change in hairdos! Their facial expressions are hilarious!

9 years

I can't believe how fast 9 years goes by.
We've only been married for 3 years so do I still count our first anniversary? I guess I could say that we were dating for 6 and together for 9. Either way, I've been in love with this man for almost a decade!
I missed posting it on the day of. So much was going on on the 28th of September. My brother turned 20 and my family drove to La Jolla for dinner.I also missed my god son Aiden's 5th Birthday :(

Other stuff that I missed in September:

Sam's first day of Middle School. She goes to the same school that Alex and Tony went to and has some of the same teachers too. She's doing really well! They post grades on the internet every week and I was truly impressed when I saw this: So much that I even let her get away with a messy room for the last 2 weeks!

I've missed so much. My goal this month: To blog at least once a week! We'll see out that works out. :)

Happy Birthday Sammie!!!

So my girl turned 11 on Sunday the 24th. She had a dance performance that same night for Team Millenia Tots. If you didn't get a chance to go or get tickets, here she is: (She's the one with the grey scarf)
(If you still can't find her, she's the one that goes off at the end...heehee)
-Thanks Nancy for the video!-

Happy Birthday Alexa and Sam!

We combined the girls birthdays and had a tiny celebration at Soak City.
The kids had a blast! Paul and I both got sunburn. My family, close friends and some of Sam and Alexa's favorite playmates came to celebrate!
Sam grew up with most of these girls. She's known them since she was Alexa's age...TWO!The pyramid:And the guys version of the pyramid. Not bad!And the family and friends below hanging out in the V.I.P. cabana (yes...I do think we're cool :))
(Left to right: Top: Me, Paul, Alex, Matt, Frank, Christine, Jenalyn--Bottom: Auntie Mher, Tone, my Mom holding tired Alexa, Jessica)
These boys (Aiden and Brandon) were always on the move, I could barely take any pictures of them besides this:
Alexa was lovin' the water, but I think that the chlorine or hot sun was getting to her. She seemed a little out of it as the day went by.
Here's the one pic that I caught that wasn't such a "pose". I'd try to direct her, by telling her just to move and then she started doing the robot!!!! LOL! This girl is definitely from Long Beach! She cracked up at her own self and I finally got something natural:
Tina's daughter Charlize:
Olivia grubbin' on some ice cream! My brother and his good friends Matt and Frank:
Alexa's first time in the lazy river!
Knocked out with Grandma Del:
My closest girlfriends and I trying to live up our youth:
Cousins Tony and Calvin were there to celebrate with us.

My good friends Eleanor and Shawne celebrated her first wedding anniversary that day as well. They were the ones that got married in Cancun last year. We headed to her house afterwards for some yummy BBQ and spirits! Our friend Michelle even found some cake mix and baked Alexa and Sam a birthday cake! Eleanor found 2 tea lights and Sam blew out one and Alexa blew out the other!
Alexa has never had the real thing yet. So I'm planning on getting a small cake for her to taste what frosting is! I'll have to remember to get some birthday candles and let her blow away!

August is...

...the beginning of chaos. First there's Alexa's 2nd birthday this Sunday, then Sam's birthday on the 24th, then school starts on the 9th of September, then my brother's birthday September 28th, then my birthday in October (don't ask me how old I am), then my mom's in November, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas, then the year's over!
If you thought that I was busy during the summer time it doubles during the fall and winter!

This Sunday is Alexa's 2nd birthday!
Things that she does that I will miss the most:
1) She tells you that her food is "haut" (hot) and blows her food.
2) Pucker's up to almost everyone
3) Says, "hhhhhiiiiiiiiii" and welcome's you home
4) Puts up her two pointing fingers and says, "tttteeeeeoooooo" when you ask her how old she is
5) Thinks she knows what she's doing with the remote control
6) Knocks out anywhere when she's tired
7) Gives you compliments by pointing and rubbin your clothes while saying, "niiiiccce"
8) Cracks the heck up when she plays peek-a-boo with her ate Sam

As always...I can't believe that she is already 2! Where did the time go? I miss the newborn in the house!
Here's a few things that I missed in July:
My friends and I had a bonfire in Huntington Beach with all the kids. It was so much fun! The kids really enjoyed themselves. Alexa was completely independent and played in the sand all day and night! Although she did start to get a cold. Runny nose and sand just isn't a good mixture.
And some of the kids:
Brandon

Charlize
Devan
Aiden
And the big kids:
Wish the picture wasn't so blurry, but right after this the structure fell to the sand!

And on 4th of July we had a laid back day at my mom's with the Manosa's. Alex was in town that weekend too.

My cousin Gerico is in town for the week. I'm hoping to take a few pics with him and blog. It's been awhile since he's been in Southern Cali.
