This weekend I got to spend some time with my girls. Dad was away and Alexa was attached to my hip most of the weekend! I tried my hardest to get her to sleep by herself and out of our bed and in the process I found a trick: I have to put one of our pillows in her bassinet! For some reason Alexa does not like her baby pillows! She has to have one of ours! ha ha
I don't know how 10 months past by so quickly.
On her ten month birthday we were looking through some scrapbooks and pictures of daddy, and when I ask, "Who's that Alexa" and point at Paul's picture, she would respond,"Daaaaaaaaaaah Dah"....
The first time she did it, I looked at her and thought to myself, "Did she just say that?" So I asked her again and again. About 4 times later, I was in ahhhhh. My mother-n-law even heard her say it and was shocked! I'm so proud of her, she's started to talk! Yeah!!! Instead of "NO" she shrugs her head in the cutest way. She also calls out for her baaaaaaaah ba (bottle) when she's hungry. She can get up and stand in her bassinet and can also walk holding the sides.
When Paul got back, it was like time had not even past. She went straight to her dad with a big hug. Paul was surprised to see how much she's learned in THREE whole days! Talking and sleeping habits...that's just amazing how in such a small amount of time she can break habits or create new ones...
On June 29th, my Uncle Gerry passed away. He is my mother's-sister(Auntie Trudy's) husband, father to my close cousins, Gerome and Gerico, and grandfather to Jordis and Jayla. Our family is in mourning and miss him so much. He was our family comedian and always made us laugh. He will be missed dearly. Please join me in prayer to keep our family strong during this time of loss.
So did I ever tell you that Paul has started this whole fight club thing in our garage 3 days a week! He's got grappling mats down and a bunch of big bags to hit. A bin full of gloves and hand wraps. A fridge full of water bottles (that he promised me none of the guys would drink), and of course a TV and DVD player to watch instructional videos! So for his first Father's Day I HAD to buy him the medicine ball that he doesn't have. He loved it! 
I wish I took a few pics of the great wrapping job I did on the 25lb ball, you should've seen it! It was hilarious! He loved it! We ate a late lunch at Coco's and walked around Fashion Island. It was a nice day with the family. He did take a little advantage of it though. I had to DRIVE!!! lol :) Good thing that it was just one day! 
The class was great! I was laughing at Jame being such a celebrity! I feel honored to say that I grew up with such a talented gal! I think that the best part is that Kira and Sam got to hang out again. They didn't want to leave each other (too cute!)
